NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC SOCIETY SELECTS LOCAL TECHNOLOGY FIRMS FOR DATABASE DEVELOPMENT
St. Louis, MO. March 15, 2007 Bradshaw Consulting, Inc and Isserman Consulting, two technology consulting firms located in the St. Louis region, have today announced that the National Geographic Society has engaged both firms for database development work associated with the 2007 National Geographic Society sponsored BioBlitz in Washington, D.C.
We are honored to be selected by such a prestigious organization dedicated to conservation and exploration, commented Derrick Lee Bradshaw, Sr., CEO of Bradshaw Consulting, Inc. We look forward to helping them with their upcoming BioBlitz in Washington D.C., he added.
A BioBlitz is a 24-hour event in which teams of scientists, volunteers, and community members join forces to find, identify, and learn about as many local species as possible. The first St. Louis BioBlitz was completed in 2004 in Forest Park. This provided the first ever baseline study of species living in the area. The 2004 St. Louis BioBlitz was organized by The Explorers Club and Gateway Wildlands. In 2006, the St. Louis Academy of Science organized and completed a second successful BioBlitz in Forest Park.
About the National Geographic BioBlitz The 2007 National Geographic Society BioBlitz is scheduled for Rock Creek Park located in the District of Columbia. For more information about the 2007 BioBlitz, please visit: www.nationalgeographic.com/bioblitz
